055 Port Tonic
Ingredients
| 2 oz | white port (or ruby/tawny) |
| 4 oz | tonic water |
| 1 slice | orange |
| 1 sprig | mint |
| Ice |
Steps
-
Fill a glass with ice.
-
Pour in port, top with tonic.
-
Add orange slice and mint sprig. Stir gently.
Notes
- The ratio is 1:2 port to tonic. Scale to your glass size.
- White port is the classic choice — light and crisp. Ruby and young tawny work too for a sweeter, richer version.
- Don’t use aged or vintage port — those are for sipping neat.
- A lower-alcohol alternative to gin and tonic with more complexity.
- Fever Tree or similar botanical tonic works best.
