Ingredients

2 1/2 oz gin (London Dry)
1/2 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
1/2 oz simple syrup
  Lime wheel, for garnish

Steps

  1. Add gin, lime juice, and simple syrup to a shaker with ice. Shake until well-chilled.

  2. Strain into a chilled coupe or a rocks glass over fresh ice.

  3. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Notes

  • London Dry gin is the classic choice — clean profile lets the lime shine without competing botanicals.
  • The “golden ratio” for sours is 2:1:1 (spirit:sweet:sour). This recipe is more spirit-forward at 5:1:1.
  • Fresh lime juice, not Rose’s Lime Cordial. Rose’s was a shelf-stable approximation — use the real thing.
